Aerospace Special Economic Zone, Adibatla
Adibatla, Ibrahimpatnam (near Airport) has emerged as the Aerospace and Defence Hub. Hyderabad is home to a large number of defence aerospace and defence research laboratories like DRDO, DRDL, RCI, BDL, MDN, Ordinance Factory, DMRL, etc., five large investments by the Tata Group in the aerospace sector, there is also GMR and AIRINDIA MROs. An Aviation academy and GMR Aerospace SEZ are located near Airport. A group of innovative aerospace SMEs also located in Hyderabad have supplied components to the Chandrayan and Mangalyaan Satellites launched by the ISRO. The SME group called SAMUHA is coming up with another Aerospace cluster near Adibatla.

The Telangana Government is proposing to set up three more aerospace and defense parks on the outskirts of the Hyderabad in the coming four years with an investment of 2500 Crore. The Aerospace Park in Adibatla SEZ, which spreads over 500 acres, is already fully functional. Tata Advanced Systems Ltd. (TASL) and their JV partners have set up facilities with Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin for the manufacture of helicopter cabins, aircraft, and their components. Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems have also announced a joint venture that will manufacture fuselages for Apache AH – 64 helicopters and aerostructures for aircraft.
